League of Experience and ABN AMRO
League of Experience and ABN AMRO signed up to a new partnership on 9 November with the aim of improving the quality of ABN AMRO’s sports sponsorship projects.ABN AMRO has in recent years focused in particular on the sponsorship domains of hockey and golf, and is also the title sponsor of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam (Ahoy). The League of Experience will deploy its network, know-how and ambassadors to improve the bank’s activities within these fields with regard to the development of the sport in general and the activation of the bank in particular. One of the aims is to give an additional boost to the bank’s involvement in the Fonds Gehandicaptensport (Disabled Sports Fund, 1% Fair Share). This follows the successful creation of an official Wheelchair Tennis Tournament during the regular ABN AMRO WTT in 2009.Rianne Toussaint, director of the League of Experience: “We are very proud to have ABN AMRO as a structural partner. We have had a very good relationship with ABN AMRO for a long time. The confirmation of this relationship, through this partnership, will contribute towards activities aimed at boosting the quality of sport and industry at the highest (administrative) level.ABN AMRO is a serious partner in sport and now it is also a partner of the League of Experience!

”The partnership with ABN AMRO dates back to 2006. During that year, the two parties organized a Conference with the theme of "Sports sponsorship: Mutual satisfaction?” The bank has also used the special Dinner Experiences with the goal of bringing sponsor and the sponsored person closer together in recent years. One great result of one of these get-togethers was the founding of the Hockey CV premier division in 2009.Ernst Boekhorst, Head of Sponsorship at ABN AMRO: "ABN AMRO has been a committed sponsor for years, investing in both professional sport and sport in general. A new partnership with the League of Experience can only improve this involvement.”
